Robert, Sue and I explored the side streets of San Pancho this morning after visiting "entre amigos" a Community Centre where we have free access to the internet for our blog. It is such a wonderful place for everyone. It is truly one of the most integrated community centres I have seen. It was built strictly through a recycling programme. Here is a photo of me in front of a wall made from empty plastic bottles.
The side streets house some interesting buildings...one of them belongs to Earl Miller from California.
Earl owns 'Roberto's' , a beautiful resort hidden away in the village, where it has earned the highest rating for travellers from afar. Earl is in the Rock and Roll business and has famous musicians stay at his resort. Earl said that famous musicians come to record at secret recording studios not worrying about being hassled. After that we went to the beach and flirted with the giant waves. At some points they were are least 8 feet high.
In the evening we ventured down to the Main Street for the "Art Walk". The native Indians from this area were the Hicolas and they are famous for their beaded artwork which we saw displayed in one of the galleries. We returned to Casa Tequila to finish off the night playing Rummy and Farkle.
