Tuesday February 21, 2012

We began the day as usual at EntreAmigos.  We uploaded our blog and ordered a mango pie from Axel, the young man who makes all the food in the cafe there from scratch.  Rob had a brief chat with a young lady from Uraguay about art.  Sue and Milla wrote letters to their children since yesterday was family day and we are blogging one day ahead.
After lunch, we headed to the beach.  The day was sunny and warm.  Milla and Sue read and relaxed on the beach under the palm trees while Rob scoured the beach for shells with holes for his bracelet.  Rob and Sue purchased another woven wrist bracelet for their son which is tan in colour and it surrounds a fire opal stone.
Supper back at Casa Tequila consisted of fresh roasted beets and potatoes with chicken.  We eat very well here in Mexico.  The food just tastes better when you are on vacation.
Around 5:15 p.m., we walked across the street to the polo field and watched as the 9 San Pancho team players practised for Saturday night’s game against Puerto Vallarta.  We plan to attend.  It will be our first polo game ever.
We were down on the beach by 6:30 p.m. watching the sunset as usual with the rest of the people in the village.  It was spectacular as usual.
Tomorrow, we are busing down to Bucerias to visit our friends from Edmonton, Kathy and Bill Hickey.  They are staying for two weeks at the hotel on the beach called the Decameron.
Only 7 more sleeps then back to the snowy cold north.

They do have seagulls.

Trying to lock the door.

polo practise - game this Saturday

no water - just sky

ultralite flies over at sunset each night

By the way, thought we would share some of the golden rules for living in San Pancho Mexico ...
  1. Dogs and families rule.
  2. The sunset is the biggest show in town.
  3.   Loud speakers on car tops advertise everything.
  4.   EntreAmigos is the communication centre that Reduces Reuses and Recycles.
  5.   There is a world famous polo club in town, even Queen Elizabeth know about it.
  6.   The surf is dramatic and there are always surfers riding the waves.
