While checking in to American Airlines at Toronto airport, we watch the customs offiicers fist fighting and as the army was called in to break it up, we moved closer to the plane. The flight across the Americas was uneventful. -- no food, no movies, not even peanuts. We were delayed slightly in Dallas while the Americans again weighed our plane. I think it was Milla's extra clothes.
We arrived in Puerto Vallarta at 2 p.m. and were picked up by a local San Pancho driver named Daniel, and brought to paradise. San Pancho is about 45 min. up the coastal highway from P.V. on highway 200. It is a small beautiful village with kids, flowers, music, sunshine, and delicious food everywhere. The beach is breathtaking!!
The house we rented has 3 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, swimming pool, courtyard, and kitchen and great room. It is all brand spanking new! Even the stove, fridge, pots, pans and dishes. We are the first to rent this great Mexican house and oh soooooooo cheap! As the first tenants, we received a complimentary bottle of Tequila because our house is called, "Casa Tequila".
As I write this, we are sitting at Maria's street side cafe drinking smoothies, milkshakes and eating carrot cake.
We did explore the village this morning and located the best place for tacos, fresh fish, and groceries. We even had time to sit on the beach awhile and watch the surf, pelicans, and build a sand sculpture.
We are visiting the library this afternoon and finishing the day off with a spectacular sunset show tonight.
We met Kim King at the local realestate and she gave us the local lowdown and even let us use her phone to call the pharmacy in Canada.
We met a young man who lives on our street named Arturo and gave him a yo yo as payment to keep the terrorist away from us. We will probably meet our other new friends, Drew and Sherry on Sunday evening at Luis' bird show at Hotel Ciel de Rojo.
Wish you were all here!!
Stay safe and warm in Canada. The temperature today is 28 degrees C.
Pictures coming tomorrow!!
