We decided to travel by bus down the highway to Bucerias. We paid our 25 pesos each and after waiting at the bus stop for 30 min., the bumpy ride began. Our first stop was the Banco where we loaded up on pesos. We walked the main street to Sweet Thing where we had a delicious lunch. Next we visited the bookstore and searched for a Spanish to English translator book which they didn't have. Off to the beach!!!
It was warm and beautiful. We found tons of ceramic tile pieces and colourful beach glass. We strolled through the bazaar and visited the small Catholic church where Milla was hearing confession for the stripped pigeons. We walked across the lovers' bridge and returned to the beach. Milla and Susan stopped in at the BeachFront restaurant to use the washroom, where the owner talked about the decline in the tourist business this year. We kind of like it that way - all the more space for us and less garbage.
We walked the beach and then stopped for lemonade and fries on our way to the bus.
We boarded the bus again and headed to Tondoroque to visit Antonio Gonzalaz, the local osteopath. After Susan's massage, we took the local bus all the way back to San Pancho, watching the red skies settle in the distance.
We made a delicious meal of locally caught dorado, tasty carrots and potatoes. We played euchre until the we hours of the morning. Susan and Milla were determined to beat Robert but to no avail. Off to bed at midnight
