Thursday Feb. 9, 2012

The weather pulled a fast one on us this morning, it hailed.  For the first time in 40 years there was thunder and hail. This was short lived and the sun came shining through.  First thing this morning we went up to the Community Centre to spend some time making Robert’s new bathing suit a size smaller and we succeeded. Then Robert got a Mexican haircut which he was happy with.  After lunch we boarded the bus for Sayulito.  We had to walk 3 kilometres from the highway to the beach in the hot sun. We did not like Sayulito, it was crowded with tourists, under construction and decided never to return.  However we did get hirana de trigo, pasas and cannelle as Robert wanted to make a cake.  We also found a great bakery for bread and cookies.  Then we headed back in a taxi to our favourite spot San Pancho.  After stretching poolside we ate a delicious meal of scrambled eggs, pesto bread and salad.
Part of our evening was spent trying to straighten out last night’s dinner bill at the Cielo Rojo Restaurant.  Robert enjoyed a lovley sunset by himself as we were reading.  We ended the evening making lunch for tommorrow’s advenure with Luis.
